As the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, our aim is to train competent chefs and food and beverage managers by providing theoretical and practical training in the field of gastronomy. In line with this purpose; in addition to the theoretical information given to you, your creativity skills will be developed with the work you will do in our university's application kitchen.
The courses in the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department are conducted by our expert academicians within the framework of an academic program that will be beneficial for you, the future chef and manager candidate. Thanks to the education you will receive, which reflects in detail every stage of production and management related to the field of gastronomy, which is explained with the concept of "from farm to table", you will be able to work in various restaurants and kitchens, mass catering businesses, food and beverage departments of accommodation businesses, food and beverage service units of airlines and similar places after completing your undergraduate education. You will be able to work in many service businesses. If you are interested, you will be able to continue your postgraduate education.

Specific to the period we are in,
We are going through difficult days due to the pandemic process that has affected the whole world. Especially during this period, uncertainties about your profession may worry you. However, the days when these days will remain as a memory, all our students will return to our university, and the tourism sector will regain its former vitality are very close. We expect you to be patient, understanding and hopeful until that day comes. We would like you to know that we will be with you, our students, to find solutions to your problems and provide all kinds of support so that you can get through this process in the best way.
We did not leave this process idle and evaluated it so that you can receive a better education when you return to school. We aim to offer you a better education with the improvements we have made in our kitchen and the enrichments we have made in the course content.
